Jullie konden waarschijnlijk amper nog wachten. Maar hier zijn we weer met je wekelijkse portie Belgische hiphop. We verzamelden de vijf niet-te-missen tracks van deze week. Te beginnen bij de nieuwste van Gewoon Ruben, ‘Grillen’. Maar ook de collab tussen TWEET GOD en Scortch1 moet je checken. De mannen van Eye Con releaseten de video van hun track ‘Unity’ en ook L’Or Du Commun dropte nieuw materiaal. Ten slotte kom je volledig in de chill mood met ‘Chill & Ride’ van Seven, Caballero & JeanJass.

'Ma ville, mes textes et mon temps, avant de parler j'adorais déjà le goût du sample'. Zo stelt het Brussel collectief L’Or Du Commun hun nieuwe track en video ‘Boîte à Gants’ voor. De mannen hebben duidelijk niet stilgezeten na ‘Trèfle D’or’ en brengen veel tijd door in de studio dezer dagen.
TWEET GOD Ft. SCORTCH1 - Wormhole
Er lijkt geen einde te komen aan de releases van TWEET GOD. De Antwerpenaar komt nu samen met de Australische MC SCORTCH1 met het nummer ‘Wormhole’. Passenger Of Shit heeft de track geproducet.
Eye Con ft. O.X. - UNITY
UNITY is de jongste official release van het Gent-based collectief Eye Con. De track waarop ook O.X. te horen is, kan je vinden op ‘The Second Sense-tApe: Law of Attraction’. De video komt van de hand van Sense A.
Seven feat. Caballero et JeanJass - Chill & Ride
De Brusselse mc Seven heeft de derde track van z’n album ‘Double Infini’ gedropt. Voor ‘Chill & Ride’ werkte Seven samen met het duo Caballero & JeanJass. De collab track is gedproducet door Eli. ‘Double Infini’ verschijnt onder Just Cracking Records.

The most colourful people at Couleur CaféLast weekend we went to Couleur Café with our Chase team. Couleur Café is not only a festival to discover great new music, food, graffiti art and all that good stuff, but also a festival to discover new people. It might be weird to describe, but it is a festival where people come together with an open mind. Once you walk past the Atomium, you enter a place where people are ought to be themselves and do whatever they want, well almost whatever they want… A place for kids, youngsters, hipsters, people of age, Rastafari, parents and so on! Everybody is welcome. We wanted to meet some of these people and tried to find five of the most colorful people at Couleur Café. Or at least some of the most Colorful since everybody is a bit crazy in their own positive way there!

He makes the art of producing beats look easy in his YouTube series Journey of a Beat. Messoins takes his viewers on a musical journey during which he explains step-by-step how he produced a certain beat. The digital music composer takes his beatmaking videos to the next level by inviting artists for each session. They write lyrics to his beats and perform the song live at the end of the video. Messoins manges to compress this whole process into easy-to-watch 5-minute videos.

In Vlaanderen zijn er heel wat mensen die niet kunnen delen in onze comforten zoals knusse koffiebars en hippe restaurants. De twee Gentse non-profit organisaties Relaas en Enchanté slaan de handen in elkaar om mensen die er nood aan hebben bij te staan.
