5 new Belgian hip-hop tracks to start the weekend: Mahina, YG Pablo & more
Every week we make a selection of Belgian hip-hop bangers that somehow caught our attention. Keep sending us new tracks or EP releases via firstname.lastname@example.org, and maybe your name will be on the list next Friday. After Hell Raiser's Made in Belgium line-up in Trix last week, we are looking forward to what the Belgian hip-hop scene will offer us the upcoming months. This week is, once again, worth checking out. Let's go!

MAHINA FT. 808 DELAVEGA - HARMONY
Who runs the Belgian hip-hop world? Apparently, girls these days. Mahina dropped the music video of Harmony on Valentines Day, and the Aaliyah x Alicia Keys vibe she is sharing with us is mesmerizing. We love how she gets us over our winter blues with this one. And how it seems like she is sitting with us in a room and performing this right there. I think we found the Belgian Alicia Keys, can anyone let Alicia herself know?
YG PABLO - AVM / DM
Two tracks, one music video. YG Pablo is serving quite something here. The French rapping artist has proved himself, with 81k views in a week. This song makes you think of that one person, so it seems like many artists were in a lovey-dovey vibe on Valentines. And YG Pablo could count on some massive support too, this time by Damso. Hard work pays off, right?
FABRECOLLECTIV. - I GET IT.
The boys of FaBRECOLLECTIV., Fred Gata and Mustapha, categorize their own music as DIY popsoulfunkyhiphop. And it sure is DIY, as the boys make their own beats, do the vocals and mix it themselves. They combine typical 90's beats with their dark voices and it still feels pretty funky. We can't sit still while listening, can you?
GUIZZI FT. EDDY APE - CHE PAS
Eddy Ape released his album last week, and hopped on a track with Guizzi including this interesting music video. Cereals at a homeparty, why not huh? We are keeping our eyes on both of these guys, as they are taking over the scene step by step. What else to expect of them? Ché pas.
O'FIFTEEN CYPHER WITH BEN, WILLEM PAPE, CEM & DIKKE (PROD. YOUNG MO)
One of our favourite current rappers Cedje has started his own label O'fifteen Records and he's going places with it. Every week, a new cypher of different known and unknown artists drops on their YouTube channel. For the third edition, he gathered Ben, Willem Pape, Cem & Dikke for a collaboration track in an underground parking lot in Antwerp. We love the idea of putting artists together, and it's clear Cedje thought through which artists matched. A very nice idea not many in the Belgian hip-hop scene did before.
