ONCE1X FT. YUNG MAVU - BE LIKE ME
This song is the living prove Dutch and English is the perfect combination for a banger. Yung Mavu has been on our list many times before, but Once1x is a new name with Ghanaian roots but based in the Belgian city that never sleeps: Antwerp. This is his first single off his upcoming EP and we are here for it.
LEFWERK - BINNENSTEBUITEN
This duo has not yet been on our Belgian hip hop list, but they will be a lot more often in the future. This track is the teaser to their upcoming album which will be released in spring 2021. ‘Binnenstebuiten’ is about their first year as a hip hop duo in the Belgian scene, rapping about the ups and downs of being artists.
SEVENS - PINK NIGHTS
We absolutely love Sevens and that’s why we’re doing a little throwback to when he released this track on August 28th. Pink Nights is a love ballad in its finest form. We adore how Sevens’ voice works out amazing on this release and we hope he’ll come through with some other bangers in the future.
JWLDMS - NOW I’M HERE
Julie, also known as JWLDMS, has been in here before and now came through with her first EP. She has a mesmerizing soulish voice, which we already know from The Voice in 2015 and she used to be a back vocal for Marques Toliver. This EP is one to bump through your speakers on a rainy Sunday morning with a cup of coffee and your loved one next to you. Perfect for a second lockdown.
LOSABES FT. FATIH AND KAPINGA GYSEL - TROPIE FILANTE
LoSabeS and Fatih on a track together mean a really good release from our hometown Ghent. This track is a dedication to Storme, the Ghent based rapper we lost last week. Very sad news for the Belgian hip hop scene. This is the second single off the upcoming EP ‘Spiegels’ by LoSabeS.
CYRA GWYNTH FT. K1D - NO
K1D is a name who should be in your personal playlists already, and he came through with a master collaboration with Cyra Gwynth. This girl has a voice we would love to possess ourselves, and a collab between both could only mean a banger. Her latest single Not The One hit 100K streams real fast, and we bet ‘No’ will go even harder.
