7 Belgian hip hop tracks from last month you should check out
We know our blogposts focussing on new Belgian hip hop releases have been a bit quiet during the past months. But now that the festival season has slowly died out, we are back at it! We’ve got you covered with 7 fresh Belgian hip hop tracks from last month.
Article by Raf Cyran
Le 77 - Handek
After a summer filled with gigs, Le 77 returned with this solid new single. The beat is hard, their flows original. Pete and Félé just don’t disappoint.
3C1P - Colombianas
Spanish, Dutch and French lyrics mixed together with deep basses and tight beats. This is the original recipe of Leuven’s 3C1P, fresh members of the brand new 10|10 collective. This collective previously released tracks by MVNSI and MAXXO VI$ION. These youngsters are well on their way to make a name for themselves in the Belgian hip hop scene.
L'Or du Commun - Sur ma vie (Prod. Vax1)
Another hard working rap group in our top 7! We're always down for a new ODC track, so we just couldn’t leave this one out. 'Sur ma vie' shows us that these guys keep on doing what they love, despite the fact that their job doesn’t always ensure stability. “Sur ma vie que j'vais faire c'qui faut”
Shaka Shams ft. Hubert - Teenage angels (prod. nard houdmeyers)
This is one of those tracks you turn on while you let yourself sink deeper into your sofa. Such a chill track! We could definitely use more tracks like this one coming from Belgium.
Flexuptown - No Manners
Flexuptown released his new 18-track album alongside this bad boy of a single. ‘No Manners’ is a great turn up track that really oozes influences from the USA’s current hip hop scene.
Cool Joe - No Stress Ft.Pan
On a whole different vibe now! A Belgian-Ghanaian grime track by Cool Joe and Pan that gives you no choice but to move to the beat. Big up my g’s, more tunes like this please.
VEHIKA - SURFACE (Prod. Vehika & Enael Music)
Let’s close this one off with some quality hip hop in French. On ‘Surface’, Vehika brings us an impeccable flow, accompanied by a self-produced instrumental. And then we didn't even mention the catchy chorus. Lourd!
