7 new Belgian hip-hop tracks to start the weekend: O’fifteen, WAWA & more
At this point, you've probably been locked into your house for such a long time, that time and space have become one. You've watched everything on Netflix, seen the same Instagram posts 3 times today and you might have given up on Houseparty by now. To help you make a distinction between weekdays and weekend, we added another selection of new tracks to our Belgian hip-hop playlist.

O'FIFTEEN CYPHER #5 - DESS, CHAR-B, METOUKA AND LEXX CHERRY
There's literally nothing more we could ask for than a cypher dedicated to female artists. Rapper Cedje made that wet dream come through last week with his fifth O'Fifteen Cypher. One beat, four different flows and yet it shows off what our female Belgian hip-hop artists have cooking in the studio during the quarantine. We stan.
WAWA FT. 4SHOBANGERS - FACTS
Everyone's favorite Aalst-based rapper is back in business. His first track of the year just dropped, called FACTS, and it's exactly what we expected it to be. His flow comes naturally, the lyrics are as cold and real as we are used to by WAWA and this beats hits. He is blessed with a feature of 4shobangers on this one due to his popularity in The Netherlands since last year. We hope to get some more angry tracks like this in 2020.
CHAZ & DJALU - NIKS IS WAT HET LIJKT
This is such a real track, it's hard to describe it. It's about all the shitty things happening on earth and it hits harder as we have time to think about it. It's about how unfair things are, and how hard it is to show off what troubles you. This is lyrically strong, Belgian hip-hop at its finest. Nothing is what it seems, and believing in yourself is hard. But what's even harder is to be honest about these things on a track.
NORTHSIDE BASE - BLACK WIDOW
New name alert! This one comes straight out of camp MOM from Antwerp, developing under the wings of the owner and inventer Bruno Agbozo, a.k.a Mind Of Mars. Northside already found his flow, and it's catchy as hell. We expect to see more soon, as we have been seeing from many other creatives in this clique.
SONNIE VEGAS - RISKY!
It's true, we have been lacking on Sonnie Vegas. But we are in quarantine now, and Vegas dropped a new track last Friday which we wouldn't want to see slip away. Vegas released his first EP in 2019, with features of Lil Skid, 95 Kuston, and Rare Akuma and has two new singles in 2020 only. Risky! is trap how it should be, with autotune effects used as art.
MORANE - REACH IT
You might already know Morane from The Voice, or from her first single BOO. The 20-year-old Antwerp based singer is the equivalent of what R&B is supposed to sound like in 2020 during the lockdown. New in our Belgian hip-hop list but she definitely deserves some shine, spotlight or whatever you want to call it. Another one for the amazing list of talented R&B singers who are coming forward these days.
SYRE - NEXT
We told you camp MOM only brings forward talented creatives, so here's another one. Syre began making music when he was 13, and by the time he released his first track in 2018 he had been searching for his own sound for nine years straight. He's now proud to present you a musical form of himself he is proud of, and we are definitely a fan of what he has become. So don't be lacking anymore, because if you keep making tracks as interesting as this one no one will be ready.
