ZEDIAM - ICE COLD
Zediam, who you might know from former Brussels hip-hop collective Soul'Art which also included Martha Da'ro, released his third solo track today. The track is a shoutout to his favorite rapper André 3000, known from the group Outkast, referring to the monster hit 'Hey Ya'. Produced by Ghent-based producer Rubae, this track is catchy and loungy at the same time.
SCOPEFROM91 - DE INTRODUCTIE
Belgian rapper Cedje, who has been in our list before, has started his own hip-hop label O'fifteen Records. One of his first upcoming Belgian hip-hop talents, Scopefrom91, has dropped his first track of many. 'De Introductie' is everything that we'd expect from a track with that title: an introduction for an artist who has more coming, a get-to-know track fresh from the scene.
CYRA GWYNTH - EIGHT
24-year old Cyra Gwynth released the music video of her track 'eight', directed by Chase member Khaël Touag: "Cyra is not only an artist, but also a strong performer, and I definitely wanted to highlight that in this video clip." The Belgian hip-hopper with Dutch and Filipino roots is mostly inspired by artists such as Kehlani, Aaliyah and H.E.R, and mixes R&B with trap soul. This song is one big wink to the '90s and '00s, and we love it.
IZAYA MOD - DANSER SUR MA PEINE
French quality lyrics and danceable beats inspired by afro music combined in a majestic new song from artist Izaya Mod. The guy grew up in Paris' banlieues and moved to Brussels to work on his musical career. After releasing his EP 'Stanna' this year, he's now coming through with new singles, of which this is the first one.
BENZ PHARAOH - TIMBO (FREESTYLE)
Benz is not a new name, as he already made his name in this list together with Antwerp emo rapper Rare Akuma. This track has been out for a while now, but Benz came through with an IGTV video to accompany the freestyle track. One of the first Belgian rappers who is using IGTV to promote his track, together with dancer Foran Goemaere. Cool project!
SEVENS - DEJA VU
Hasselt based singer-songwriter and student Sevens combines hip-hop, R&B, and soul together with producer Remi De Roeck for his first track Déjà Vu. The track is influenced by the feeling you get when you are casual vibing with someone, and suddenly feelings seem to appear.
ICTO - UNDER CONSTRUCTION
After iCto's live performance at radio station NRJ, we were excited about an upcoming EP and it's finally here. The Leuven based rapper participated in De Nieuwe Lichting, got into the Code +32 playlist and is now ready to take over Belgium with her EP. She sat down in the studio with producer Anders, and fellow rappers 95 Kuston, Zediam, Mvnsi and many more.

Genk is a city with many faces, literally. The second biggest city of Limburg counts 64.118 inhabitants and about 105 nationalities. Meanwhile, 1 in 4 children is born into a family struggling with poverty and 1 in 5 quits school before getting a secondary diploma. While the youth may experience some difficulties growing up, many turn their experiences into creative energy. We're taking a closer look at some of the local creatives in this first part of our two-part mini-documentary.
