Our 5 favourite lunch spots in Berlin
Berlin became one of the most famous destinations to visit these past few years. Are you planning on going to Berlin in the near future and do you want to enjoy an appetizing lunch, without paying too much? Then we've got news for you: we listed 5 spots worth visiting.
Le Bon is situated in Neukölln, the south-eastern part of the city. Thanks to its welcoming interior and very kind service you immediately feel at ease. Not sure if you want to go for a salted or rather a sweet lunch? No need to choose, Le Bon provides both. Don’t worry if you had a crazy techno party the night before and you feel like sleeping in, they serve their lunch and brunch until 3 p.m. on weekdays, and 4 p.m. on the weekend. Our personal opinion? Try the Granola Pancakes, they're beyond delicious!
Ubahn: U8 Schönleinstraße
The place to be if you want a champion’s breakfast to concur the rest of the day. It is by far the number one place for 100% organic food and superfoods in Berlin. The menu consists of acaï bowls, smoothies, chia pudding,... You can also take them to go and stroll around Prenzlauer Berg, which is a fancier neighbourhood in Berlin. Also whether you sit outside or inside, Daluma has this particular construction made that looks like a stepped stage where everyone can just sit, chill and enjoy their food. What more do you need?
Ubahn: U8 Rosenthaler Platz
Situated close to Stadtmitte, literally the middle of the city, and probably one of the cutest parts of the city. A small, but very trendy spot. They work with cool, funny names for their plates. Who would expect to get yoghurt with fruit when ordering a 'Greek Goddess'? If you’re visiting the city center and you’re in for some tasty food at a low price, don’t hesitate to stop by at CHIPPS.
Ubahn: U2 Hausvogteiplatz
House of small wonder
The name of this place doesn’t only refer to the small wonders you’ll find on your plate. It also refers to its location that is seen as a little ‘secret’ and a wonder to be found. Upon entering the place, you face this amazing interior that has some small Japanese touches. And so do their dishes by the way, besides the mainstream lunch/brunch menu they also infused their kitchen with some Japanese flavours.
Ubahn: U6 or S Oranienburger Tor
Zeit für Brot
Zeit für Brot, which stands for 'time for bread', initially was a bakery. But besides their bread they also offer lunch. They are known for their hand-made bread rolls with flavours such as apple, cinnamon, different types of chocolate and many more. Every 30 minutes the bakery brings a new batch into the store. The extra charming touch you'll find at ZFB, is that you can look into the bakery through a transparent window and watch your roll being made.
Alte Schönhauser Straße 4
Ubahn: U2 Rosa-Luxemburgplatz
