Rick De Vik is making waves in the Belgian hip-hop scene for quite some time now. After being part of the hip-hop collective Rauw & Onbesproken, he performed in many venues together with his homie Froze. And he’s not done yet. In two weeks, he’ll be presenting his brand new solo project in Charlatan in Ghent.
Prior to the release, Rick De Vik is dropping a lot of new stuff. Since March, we’ve already seen multiple sketches and clips, like ‘The Road To Rick: Bij De Dokter’ and ‘Serreplant: Pyjamasessie #2’. Today, there’s a brand new one. ‘Hiphip’ is a very catchy song, with a bouncy, synth-stuffed beat.
In ‘Hiphip’, Rick De Vik talks about the rise of hipsters. Everyone wants to be part of the upper class. Although he wants fit in too, he doesn’t want to give up on being unique and remaining true to himself.
Rick De Vik will be showcasing his new mixtape in Charlatan on May 17. You better keep an eye out for whatever is still coming!
