TOYKYO X CHASE release a locally printed and eco-friendly tote bag
There’s no denying that tote bags are totally in! The bags are often embellished with inspiring quotes and flashy prints and can be combined with almost every outfit. Together with Toykyo we created a locally printed tote bag made out of eco-friendly materials. We made this bag for our volunteers, team, partners and the first 5 people of our community who join us to the climate march on the 14th of February.
It seems that nowadays, the climate is more on the foreground than ever before. Indeed, the Brussels Climate March taking place each Thursday is the prime example of a young movement that wants to make people aware of the urgent need for change. We at Chase want to do our bit as well: encouraging our community to use fewer plastic bags and more reusable ones. That doesn’t only make you happy, but it makes Mother Earth smile, too. With this in mind, we contacted the Ghent-based illustration studio Toykyo for a collaboration.
Toykyo is an illustration studio with an impressive record of collaborations, for example the legendary Piet Parra, Nike and the hip-hop label Top Notch. Creativity, optimism and originality are their most important keywords. We combined these keywords with the Chase values and created this fashionable tote bag with an ecological message.
The illustration on this limited edition tote bag was designed by local illustrator Pointdextr from Toykyo and was screen printed by the Ghent based company Suburban. The tote bag consists of 80% recycled cotton and 20% recycled polyester and the ink used for the screen print is water based. The inspiration for this initiative was drawn from the Brussels Climate March and made us all the more eager to continue to co-operate with local creatives for limited edition Chase merchandising. All tips for future collaborations with local creators are welcome.
Should you not yet be convinced, the pictures speak for themselves! Abandon plastic bags and shoulder these fashionable, eco-friendly tote bags. Do you want one of these Toykyo x Chase tote bags? Join us to the climate march on Thursday the 14th of February, the first five people from our community get a tote bag!

MVNSI tells his story: “they’ve turned me into a controversial artist”
Fabrice Munsi (27), a.k.a. MVNSI, started to pursue his musical career only a year ago and was recently selected as a Studio Brussel "Nieuwe Lichting" finalist. But it didn't take him long to find out that there's also a less appealing side to chasing the so-called fame. Getting in the spotlight means your every move is watched more closely. Someday they might even dig up the dirt from your past. (Are you feeling the heat yet?)
