TURNING COAL INTO GOLD: A conversation with hip-hop in Genk
2019 celebrated 20 years of hip-hop music in Genk. To honor this, more than 15 local artists from different generations got together and formed 'Goeie Jongens'. Together they're ready for another 20 years.
In part one of our mini-documentary we've shown you what creativity means to some of the local artists. For part 2, we're diving deeper into the history of hip hop music in Genk and how working together shows its success.
This project was made possible thanks to the financial support of Vlaams Journalistiek Fonds / Flemish Journalism Fund.
