Séa November Spotify Playlist: feel-good vibes for dark times
With winter coming up, the days getting shorter and a pandemic impacting our daily lives, it feels like dark days are ahead. We can still leave our houses but there’s not that much to do: all cultural events are cancelled and lots of shops are closed. On top of that, the future is uncertain concerning new measures & possible vaccines.
This is why we want to lighten up your mood for the day through music. Chase team member Valerie Wynants aka DJ séa curated a new playlist on Spotify which she labelled ‘feel-good music for dark times.’
Fresh into the house scene in Belgium since 2019, this creative from Artist Amplifier has many influences such as AliA & Peggy Gou. She’s also driven by the soul of Aretha Franklin. When she does a DJ set on the radio (NRJ Belgïe) and during festivals (Tomorrowland), séa brings minimal, funky or disco vibes that fit the mood of the moment.

“Whenever you're feeling sad as hell in this weird-ass period, you can put on this playlist and it will get you automatically in a better mood,” séa explains. “The playlist contains many hit records that were sampled by famous artists such as Kanye, Eminem, and others.”
So let’s play the game! Can you recognize which songs were sampled by which artist? Feel free to tell us in the comments below.
